About the Gadecci mask
The Gadecci mask uses 630nm red light and 850nm near-infrared light. These two wavelengths have the strongest evidence base in the photobiomodulation literature. 630nm is the clinically validated wavelength for collagen stimulation and skin surface rejuvenation. 850nm penetrates deeper into the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, targeting cellular repair at a mitochondrial level.
The Gadecci mask contains 320 medical-grade LEDs. By comparison, the Omnilux Contour Face, one of the leading premium clinic-grade home devices, uses 132 LEDs. More LEDs means greater facial coverage and more consistent irradiance across the treatment area, which is directly linked to more consistent results.
FDA clinical-grade clearance means the Gadecci mask has been independently reviewed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and found to be substantially equivalent in safety and performance to a legally marketed predicate device. This is different from "FDA registered," which only means a manufacturer has registered its facility and involves no device review. clinically studied is the meaningful standard for home-use medical devices.
Three differences matter. First, wavelength accuracy: many inexpensive masks claim to use specific wavelengths but emit light that is off-spec by 20 to 50nm, outside the clinically effective range. Second, irradiance: budget masks often emit at power levels too low to produce any meaningful biological effect. Third, safety: Gadecci uses LEDs that meet international photobiological eye safety standards (IEC 62471). Generic Amazon products have no such requirements. The science works at the right wavelengths and sufficient irradiance. Budget devices frequently deliver neither.
Yes. The Gadecci mask is fully wireless during treatment. It charges via USB-C and provides 20 or more sessions per charge. You are not connected to any cable during your 10-minute session, which allows you to move freely or lie down comfortably.
Using your mask
Daily use for the first 8 weeks is recommended for optimal results. After that, 3 to 5 sessions per week is sufficient for maintenance. Unlike chemical treatments, there is no recovery time and daily use carries no risk of overtreatment. The 10-minute auto-shutoff prevents any single session from exceeding the safe and effective treatment window.
Use the mask on clean, dry skin with no products applied. Makeup, sunscreen, and many skincare products can absorb or scatter the light before it reaches the dermis, reducing effectiveness. After your session, apply your serums and moisturizers immediately. The increased cellular activity post-treatment improves absorption significantly.
Red light therapy is non-thermal and non-ablative, meaning it produces no heat and does not remove or damage skin tissue. It is one of the gentlest skincare technologies available. Two randomized controlled trials confirmed safety across all Fitzpatrick skin types, including types V and VI. Do not use the mask if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking photosensitising medications, or have a diagnosed photosensitivity condition. If in doubt, consult your dermatologist before use.
Yes. Red light therapy is compatible with retinoids, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, peptides, and most active ingredients. Use the mask on clean skin before applying products, and apply everything else after. Avoid applying AHAs, BHAs, or photosensitising ingredients directly before a session, as these can increase skin sensitivity to light.
We recommend keeping your eyes closed during treatment as a precaution, even though the Gadecci mask meets photobiological eye safety standards. The mask does not emit UV light or laser radiation. However, looking directly into LED arrays at close range for extended periods is not something we recommend regardless of safety ratings.
Results and expectations
Skin texture improvements are typically noticeable within 3 to 4 weeks of daily use. More significant changes in fine lines, firmness, and overall skin tone appear at the 6 to 8 week mark for most people. A peer-reviewed study published in Medicine in 2025 showed 89% of participants had measurable improvement in periorbital wrinkles at 12 weeks. Consistency matters more than anything: daily 10-minute sessions outperform sporadic longer sessions.
The biological mechanism is identical. 630nm delivered by the Gadecci mask produces the same cytochrome c oxidase activation as 630nm delivered by a clinic device. The wavelength is the signal. The difference is that clinic devices operate at higher output power but at a distance from the skin. The Gadecci mask sits directly on the skin, which dramatically increases the dose delivered per unit of output. Daily home access also allows for more total treatment time than two clinic sessions per month, which compounds results over time.
Clinical evidence supports the following outcomes with consistent use: reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improved skin texture and smoothness, increased firmness from collagen synthesis stimulation, more even skin tone, and reduced inflammation markers. Individual results vary based on skin type, age, and consistency of use. Results are cumulative: the longer and more consistently you use the device, the more pronounced the improvement.

No. The 60-night window is based on calendar days from delivery, not number of sessions used. We do ask that you make a genuine effort to use the device, as occasional use will not produce the results the clinical evidence supports. But we do not require you to log usage or submit proof of sessions. We trust you.
No. We cover return shipping on all trial returns. We will send you a prepaid label as part of the return process. You do not pay anything to return the device.
